Accomplishments and the Milestones
17 batches of our students have passed out AISSE and AISSCE meritoriously. The school has been the venue for AISSE, AISSCE and NEET Examination.
The school has hosted the All Kerala Interschool Karate Championship, Newsprint Soccer Tournament, Bhavan’s Fest, CBSE Cluster XI Kho Kho Tournament, CBSE South Zone Badminton Tournament, CBSE National Badminton Tournament, All Kerala CBSE Cluster VI Table Tennis Tournament and CBSE South Zone Girls Football Tournament.
Football training camp was organized in collaboration with international coaches from Al Ethihad in May 2018.
The NCC wing of our school is under the 21st Kerala Battalion. Our NCC cadets Aswin Raj (2012), Sidharthan James, Allen Tom George and Vincy Mathew (2013), Sreelakshmi Uthaman (2014) and Architha Baiju Panicker (2015) represented the state at the Republic Day Parade in Delhi. Sreelakshmi Uthaman and Architha Baiju Panicker were selected as the best cadets of Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Sreelakshmi Uthaman and Sneha Bhattacharjee of Std XII received the prestigious KULAPATI MUNSHI BEST STUDENT AWARD for the year 2017 and 2019 respectively.
Sneha Bhattacharjee of Std. XI secured 1st rank and Master Rithik P of Std. XII secured 3rd rank in the Bhavan’s Scholarship Examination, in 2018.
Sankeerth Sanjeev was honoured by the Honourable Minister for Communication and IT for his acumen in the online challenge on Cyber Safety and Cyber Awareness campaign, 2015.
Allen Paul Alias won the Philately Scholarship Scheme Award under Deen Dayal Sparsh Yojana, an initiative of Postal Department, Government of India in 2018.
Athul Krishna and Bala Bhaskar were the champions of Manorama Tell me why Quiz Competition for three consecutive years.
Kamal Krishnan U of Std XI was awarded the NTSE scholarship in 2013.
Anjali Krishna S, K Sreeja and Rashmi P received INSPIRE Scholarship for Higher Education (SHE) awarded by the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
Joseph J Kunnathoor and Sneha Bhattacharjee secured the KVPY scholarship in 2010 and 2018. Don Paul won the Gold Medal in the National Skating Championship in 2004.
Ann Sherley Varghese won the gold medal in ‘Indian Classical Dance on Roller Skates’ in the 45th National Roller Skating Championship organized by Roller Skating Federation of India.
Smt. Sudha E P (HOD, Mathematics) received the Best Teacher- Guide Award instituted by Kerala Ganitha Shastra Parishad in 2013.
Lovely K N, Teacher, Department of Science, presented a paper on “Scientific Learning for Sustainable Development” at National Teachers Science Congress held in Ahmedabad.
Smt. Sabitha O S and Smt. Prabha P R of Malayalam Department were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 10000/- by the State Government for securing more than 80% marks in the KTET examination.
The awards received by the school are Prestigious Mathrubhumi-VKC Nanma Vidyalaya Award for the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) initiatives, ‘The National School Sanitation Award 2012’, the trophy and cash prize worth 25000/- from the Honorable Minister of Human Resource Development, Dr M M Pallam Raju at an award function held in New Delhi, The CBSE Sports Promotion Award in the year 2014 for organizing CBSE sports competitions for 7 consecutive years.
